My paid work at BU involves supporting many educational technologies, but especially ePortfolios: websites that showcase personal learning and make it visible. As a demonstration for others to see, I’ve created an extensive portfolio about myself, displaying my scholarly and professional history. If you’re interested in my background, feel free to have a look. You’ll probably be able to learn more about me than you ever wanted to know.

Amod, I like what you’ve done here a lot, though the service (Digication) seems to be for school districts, not the general public. Do you recommend any user-friendly service or web design tools for building an online portfolio? I’ve been using WordPress (see above), though I’m not entirely happy with it.

Hi Zack – I’m pretty sure you can get an individual account on Digication if you pay for it. You should be able to do that for a reasonable price ($35/year or less) if you have any current academic affiliation at all; if you don’t, send them an email anyway. In my experience they are quite accommodating and eager to please.
I use WordPress for this blog and I love it, really. If I didn’t have access to Digication, that’s what I would use for a portfolio. It’s more flexible when you run it on your own server space (as I do), though that costs more and is harder than running it on WordPress.com.
